It started with many of our favorite Euro e21 features like the rear plate mounted below the small chrome bumper and twin exhaust, and has now been thoroughly improved. Find it here on eBay out of Vista, California. We like this car in white (like many BMW’s), and the Hartge side stripes, rubber rear spoiler, and 3-piece wheels all add to the complete tuner look. Our only change would be to factory Euro rear lenses and center panel as opposed to the all red lenses on this car. That exhaust note is even more aggressive that we expected. The leather seats have good proportions and the rear seat is modified to match. The wheel and dash pod are all Hartge pieces. The engine has a Hartge-modified head and exhaust, and the air filter housing is a custom unit. The factory 323i is a hot set-up, but with these mods it has an even better power-to-weight ratio. We like many of the mods on this car, and think the e21 is under-appreciated in general. We are impressed with the condition of this car and like the total package offered by Hartge.Related Stories 5 comments Please observe Bring a Trailer's commenting rules.Arne BerglundFebruary 3, 2008 at 11:32 am 0 or Flag as not constructive I drove an ’81 323i as a daily driver for 5 years, a while back. Fun and nearly bullet-proof. I agree with pretty much everything said above. Nice E21s truly are under-appreciated.JJGFebruary 3, 2008 at 12:04 pm 0 or Flag as not constructive I have had a 79 323i for 18 years, and it has a dogleg tranny just like the hartge car. The e21 was and is underappreciated, and the car for sale, is a beautiful piece of german machinery enhanced by Hartge and the owner of it. My compliments for such an outstanding car.JonasFebruary 3, 2008 at 3:30 pm 0 or Flag as not constructive A few things.
